A Lady and Her Two Daudgters
Narrated Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) : A lady along with her two daughters came to me asking (for some alms), but she found nothing with me except one date which I gave to her and she divided it between her two daughters, and did not eat anything herself, and then she got up and went away. Then the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) came in and I informed him about this story. He said, "Whoever is put to trial by these daughters and he treats them generously (with benevolence) then these daughters will act as a shield for him from Hell-Fire." It was related by Al-Bukhari

Message From Our Scholar
"Do not destroy the reward of your deeds of charity by reminding or bragging about it or by causing harm (thereafter)." 2:264. Any deed we do to assist others in any way must be done with humbleness & solely for the pleasure of the Almighty. Those who keep reminding people of how they were helped by them, or brag about it will nullify the reward of that deed just like those who cause harm to them thereafter would.
