A Lady and Her Two Daudgters
Narrated Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) : A lady along with her two daughters came to me asking (for some alms), but she found nothing with me except one date which I gave to her and she divided it between her two daughters, and did not eat anything herself, and then she got up and went away. Then the Prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) came in and I informed him about this story. He said, "Whoever is put to trial by these daughters and he treats them generously (with benevolence) then these daughters will act as a shield for him from Hell-Fire." It was related by Al-Bukhari

Message From Our Scholar
"Do not destroy the reward of your deeds of charity by reminding or bragging about it or by causing harm (thereafter)." 2:264. Any deed we do to assist others in any way must be done with humbleness & solely for the pleasure of the Almighty. Those who keep reminding people of how they were helped by them, or brag about it will nullify the reward of that deed just like those who cause harm to them thereafter would.

Report Web Error

Welcome to malawiummah.com. This website specially features most important categories for your day-to-day Islamic spiritual life. Any mistake/error in this website, please inform us immediately: "Contact Me"

All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the entire world.

The website, http://malawiummah.com , is an Islamic Information Website

Ummah is an Arabic word meaning "community" or "nation". It is commonly used to mean either the collective nation of states or (in the context of pan-Arabism) the whole Arab world. In our regard to this website, Ummah is linked to the context of Islam, where it means the Community of Malawian Believers.

The Website's Objections

Malawi Ummah is a site based on non-profit aims; designed to enrich the viewers' knowledge and appreciation of Islam. Its aim is to provide the viewing community, a substantial knowledge about Islam, particularly the non-Muslim who may need clarification of common distortions of the media and misrepresentations of ill-informed followers.

Its purpose, as the Holy Qur'an says:

“You [Muslims] are the best nation brought out for Mankind, commanding what is righteous (Ma'ruf - "recognized [as good]") and forbidding what is wrong (Munkar - "unrecognized [as good]")....” [3:110]

is to increase the sensitivity of Muslims and non-Muslims similarly about the mission of Islam to warn mankind of God's punishment and to give the good news of their salvation in Islam. Islam is a revealed religion and a way of life that addresses all aspects of the human condition .

As a rule, Malawi Ummah is designed to address the interests of a wide audience - casual viewers, new converts to Islam, and Muslims of long standing.

Our objective is the same as that of the widespread Islamic sites under-which they are unified. At Malawi Ummah, every effort is made to be as comprehensive as possible and to encompass all aspects of Islam: 'Aqeedah (Islamic Belief), Quranic Issues, Hadeeth (Traditions of Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam, Fiqh (Jurisprudence), Seerah (Prophet Muhammad's Noble Biography), typical manners of calling to Islam, unique examples of Islamic ideal conduct, stories of new converts to Islam, among many other issues.

We would also appreciate your reports regarding errors and/or broken links that you may find throughout our web site.

Please send us feedback on our website and feel free to give ideas on other areas of Islam you would like us to cover.

See our  Copyright License .

NOTE PLEASE - We would like to advise our readers that in several of our articles after The Prophet Muhammad's name instead of writing sallallahu alaihi wa sallam you may see (saw), (saws), or (pbuh). Please be advised that we see no issue with using an abbreviated version of this as all Muslims should be aware of the requirement for them to say sallallahu alaihi wa sallam after his name.

We pray that Allah, Almighty, record this effort as a good deed, done in defense of His religion (Islam) and solely for His pleasure, and that He make it reach and benefit those who need it most, and overlook our shortcomings and cover us all with his mercy in this world and purify us for the hereafter, Ameen
